Welcome to the conference site for Virginia Beach City Public School’s Leadership Conference. This year’s conference is designed to honor the work of schools in meeting the challenges presented during a global pandemic and to prepare leaders to make meaningful connections to the division’s strategic framework, Compass to 2025. The theme of the conference is: Innovate, Accelerate.

The design of the conference leverages both online and face-to-face learning formats. Each morning, all attendees will have a choice of virtual sessions. Each afternoon of the conference, school administrators will report to Landstown High School for an essential learning session, followed by a keynote address. Along with the traditional closing keynote by Dr. Spence, the conference committee is excited to announce that educator and author, Kim Bearden, is the keynote speaker on the opening day of the conference. Both keynote addresses will be streamed for remote viewing by instructional team members. In summary, school administrators will participate in the morning virtual choice sessions, face-to-face essential sessions and keynote addresses and the instructional staff members of the school team will participate in the morning virtual choice sessions and the livestream of the keynote addresses.
Be open to change! Advisory is a dynamic program with room to innovate and collaborate while responding to our schools' unique needs and cultures. A particular emphasis will be placed on the "Balanced" piece of the VBCPS Graduate Profile and the Compass to 2025 Strategic Framework while supporting each school's Plan for Continuous Improvement.
